Paul Ashton RIBA built up his career working within a wide variety of construction sectors such as; public buildings, hotels, art galleries, eco-dwellings, industrial sites, transport & residential. He worked on projects of all scales with contract values ranging from £20k up to £35m. At Austin-Smith:Lord he was co-project architect on the BIQ designed, Grade I listed, Bluecoat Arts Centre in Liverpool. He was project architect and designer on the award winning Salford Central Station for Network Rail. He was also a concept designer on the office fit-out of the Grade I listed Port of Liverpool Building. At Union North he worked on the Crown estates award winning Midland Hotel in Morecambe for Urban Splash. He was also project architect on a scheme to redevelop an existing 1960s block into 400 flats in Leeds also for Urban Splash. 

Paul Ashton Architects were set up in 2010 and have grown steadily based on the ability to gain planning permission for developments on challenging sites and maximising the clients return on their investment. in 2012 Paul Ashton set up HBMA as a joint venture with long established building surveyors Hardie Brack.
